Sanitary tubes are usually used in the production process of pharmaceutical, food, beverage, cosmetics and other industries, mainly involving the transportation of liquid, gas, steam and other media. These industries have strict requirements for the material, processing technology and cleanliness of the pipeline to ensure the quality, safety and hygiene of the product. Therefore, sanitary pipelines need to meet the following requirements.
Corrosion resistance
Sanitary steel tubes are generally made of stainless steel and corrosion-resistant alloy materials. After solution annealing, weak magnetism and internal stress caused by deformation of steel tube can be eliminated and stress corrosion can be reduced. After pickling and passivation, a thin, dense and hard passivation film is produced on the inner and outer surfaces, which is the fundamental reason for the prevention of corrosion.
Chemical stability
Sanitary stainless steel tubes have good chemical stability in a variety of strong acids, alkali, salt solution and other corrosive media, not prone to corrosion and oxidation. This makes sanitary stainless steel tube ideal for conveying liquid, gas and solid particles.
High temperature oxidation resistance
In high temperature environment, stainless steel tubes will not lose its material performance, are not easy to deformation and softening, and can stably transport and transfer heat media.
High strength
Sanitary stainless steel tubes have high strength, can withstand a certain amount of pressure and impact.
Surface fine finish
After bright annealed, mechanical polished, chemical polished or electrolytic polished, the internal surface of the steel tube is very smooth and bright, the roughness generally between Ra0.40 and 1.60μm, so it is not easy to adhere to dirt and impurities, which is conducive to maintaining the purity of the fluid.
Passivation film
After polishing, the steel tubes need to be immersed in the passivation tank, and the surface of the steel tubes are oxidized to form a passivation film with acid passivation liquid to achieve good corrosion resistance.
High cleanliness
After passivation, a degrease cleaning will be carried out. It is necessary to inspect the cleanliness of the tube surface by using oil analyzer, with purpose to prevent the oil on the tube wall itself from polluting the fluids.
Cleaning and disinfection
The surface of the stainless steel tubes are smooth and without obvious pores and defects, easy to clean and disinfect, which can effectively avoid the breeding of bacteria and microorganisms and ensure the health and safety of the product. High temperature water or steam is generally used for cleaning and disinfection so ensure the hygiene of the tubes after sterilization.
