The production process of shaped pipe includes hot rolling, extrusion, cold rolling and cold drawing.

Compared with the round tube, shaped tube generally has a larger moment of inertia and section modulus, and a larger bending and torsion resistance. It can greatly reduce the weight of the structure, save steel material.
