Phosphor bronze

Overview

Phosphor bronze is a copper alloy that uses P to remove oxygen from copper and bronze (Cu-Sn) with a small amount of P remaining, and adds phosphorus to improve mechanical properties (toughness, elasticity, wear resistance, corrosion resistance). It generally contains 2.0-8.0% tin, 0.1-0.4% phosphorus, and the remainder is copper.

Application

Phosphor bronze is mainly used as wear-resistant parts and elastic components, computer connectors, mobile phone connectors, high-tech industry connectors, electronic and electrical springs, switches, slots for electronic products, keys, electrical connectors, lead frames, vibration pieces and terminals.
Typical usage of capillary tube of phosphor bronze is electron probe bushing.

Performance

Phosphor bronze has good electrical conductivity, is not easy to heat, ensures safety and has strong fatigue resistance. It has good corrosion resistance, wear resistance, and no spark during impact.
